Kowloon name originated from the nine dragons which is represented by eight peaks and a Chinese emperor. Kowloon is basically is bordered by Lei Yue Mun strait, Mei Foo Sun Chuen , Stonecutter's Island , Tate's Cairn and Lion Rock, and Victoria Harbour.
Kowloon is the spending and shopping paradise of Hong kong..Kowloon located at the peninsula’s southern tip , has a good number of shops, bars and hotels. Kowloon attracts a large number of tourists as well as inhabitants. Around the Nathan Road you can find many shops and street markets. This area is also called the’ Golden Mile’. Apart from shops, inorder to cater the tourist’s need there are many bars and cafes around the street. |
Other than the shopping centers and bars there are few more places where you could pay visit like some temples like the famous Wong Tai temple and quite a few museums.
New Territories is the Northern Part of Kowloon. It is really worth to spend time and explore the dualistic character of New Territory with modern towns which have altered with ancient rural villages. |
