Victoria Peak

In the night when the streets glow with light, the city appears to be a illuminating pear. Victoria Peak is the best location to view the real beauty of Hong Kong at night. Victoria peak is located 554 meters (about 1,817.6 feet) above sea level and this point is the highest of its kind in Hong Kong. This Peak is the major Tourist attraction and it attracts almost seven million visitors every year.
The peak has a panoramic view over the valley and because of this it was the center of many prominent residences of Europeans, even from the 19th century.

Victoria Peak Attractions

Reaching up the peak is much more a pleasant experience. The peak has a real serene atmosphere with its Lush growth of bamboo, Lilliputian Chinese pines. Walking through this place would calm you mind and rejuvenate you.
The Peak Tram which has been operating over a century with out even a single accident demark in its history is really joyous. The journey above would take eight minutes. A huge seven storied building which is build in the shape of ship is located at the top is called the Peak Tower. This building is the house of many attractions viz Ripley's Believe It or Not Auditorium, the Peak Explorer Motion Simulator and Hong Kong’s Madame Tussauds museum.
Madame Tussaud’s museum Hong Kong exhibits more than 100 wax statues of celebrities from all the fields of life. The third and the second floor of the Peak Tower building house the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium. This Museum contains almost 450 bizarre, strange and amusing exhibits that were collected so carefully from all the continents.
On the fourth floor of the Tower you will find the most interesting place- Peak Explorer Motion Simulator. Sitting on this motion simulator and watching the screen you would get the real experience of things happening in the screen.
A visit to the Lion Pavilion on the peak will give you the exquisite view of the Victoria Harbor and the Kowloon Peninsula. The night view from the Lion Pavilion is so marvelous. You can also get a view of the 78 storied Central Plaza from here.
